My easy peasy green smoothie for kids and adults alike
This is a great way to get more greens into your daily diet, make a large batch for the whole family to share and store the rest in a sealed jar in the fridge.
This recipe is great to start with for beginners in green smoothie making as the ingredients are simple and also delicious to drink!
Trust me your kids won’t leave you any!
Ingredients (serves 2-4)
1-2 small frozen bananas
1-2 large handfuls spinach
1 small green apple (If you have one)
1-2 scoops chia seeds
handful of ice
cold water or coconut water
Method
- Add all the ingredients, ice and top with water. You can always add more water depending on your preferred consistency. Double the ingredients depending on how many people you’d like to serve.
- Blend in a high powered blender until smooth.
- Serve immediately or store in sealed jars in fridge to drink later through out the day.
OPTIONAL:
add any organic green powders and/or vegan protein powders to boost your smoothie if you like.
